Selflessness
O Dearly beloved Word of God, teach me to be generous, to serve Thee as Thou dost deserve, to give without counting the cost, to fight without fretting at my wounds, to labor without seeking rest, to spend myself without looking for any reward other than that of knowing that I do Thy holy will. Amen.

Dear Lord in Jesus name, I commit this day to You. I die to myself today. I wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. Thank You, Lord, for your armor. By faith (not feeling) I put your armor right now.

LOIN GIRDLE OF TRUTH First, I put on the Loin Girdle of Truth to stand against all devices of Satan and his demons. I knew they are out to rob, steal, defile, torment and destroy. But I know that, “Greater is He in me than he in the world,” Father, please give me divine knowledge, wisdom and discernment to detect the devil at work with his lies and secret workings. Help me hunger and follow only after truth. Help me not yield to the devil’s deceptions, even when he appears as an angel of light.

BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTIOUSNESS Next, I put on the Breastplate of Righteousness. Thank You that it is your righteousness, I know I have none of my own. Any sin in my life I now forsake and confess to You Lord. In Jesus’ Name and I now accept Your complete forgiveness. It is the righteousness of my Lord and Savior Jesus who continually cleanses me from all sins and Who faithfully forgives me. Thank You that I am not only “justified” but actually made “righteous” by the shed of blood of Jesus, I have truly been bought with His blood. Thank you now that there is no condemnation. I refuse to accept the devil’s condemnation for failure, for I have been forgiven even as I also forgive all who have sinned against me.

FEET SHOD IN PEACE Now, Lord, I put on the Shoes of Peace I plant my feet firmly on the Lord Jesus Who is the Rock of my salvation. Accept Your peace that passes all understanding. You have not given me “the spirit of fear, but of love and power and sound mind. “I stand against the demon powers and their thoughts of worry, fear, unrest, strife, bitterness, rejection, etc.

SHIELD OF FAITH Next, I put on the Shield of Faith against the fiery darts of the wicked. By faith I see You, Lord Jesus, as my shield, I realize that “without faith it is impossible to please Him.” By faith I ward off the attacks of the enemy as I move forward for the Gospel. By faith I rejoice in all things, I walk in faith.

HELMET OF SALVATION Now, Lord, I put on the Helmet of Salvation. My mind is covered by Your Salvation and Your blood, shed for me. I let the mind of Jesus be my mind. His thoughts shall be my thoughts. Let me say and do only what the Holy Spirit leads. I cast down the evil thoughts of the enemy. I watch for them and see them for the evil they are I resist them as they come. I direct my thought to victory in Jesus.

SWORD OF THE SPIRIT Lastly, I take the Sword of the Spirit 0- the Holy Bible. I believe the Word of God and continually confess it. It is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Father, help me stand against satanic powers with Your Word.

Let us realize who we are in Jesus. The Bible says we are over comers and the children of God. Therefore, let us begin each day by realizing we are who the Bible says we are. Let us confess this prayer faithfully each day until it becomes as much part of our life as brushing our teeth. We have authority and power over the enemy. God wants us to trust Him. He desires for signs and wonders to be the nom; sick people healed, the lost saved, brethren filled with Holy Spirit, and the demonized set free. Let us faithfully out on God’s armor. Let us pray and praise and believe God’s Word as never before.

At the very least, Paul wants prayer to be part of our daily life. But that's not easy.
As soon as our eyes open in the morning we're often in a rush. Get ready! Go! And we're off to work or school or the chores of the day.
Morning prayer gets us ready for what the day brings. St Basil, a wise 4th century saint from Asia Minor, said:
"We pray in the morning to give the first stirrings of our minds to God. Before anything else, let the thought of God gladden you."
Begin the day by seeking God's blessing, the saint advises. God meets us in the morning not as a taskmaster, but as a loving presence who strengthens and gladdens us for the day.
"The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want." (Psalm 22)
Prayer - and it may be just a short prayer - enables us to begin the day, not alone, but with God. It raises and gladdens our tired spirits that so easily lose their appetite for life. It provides a strengthening grace so that we enter the day, not groaning, but hoping in our Savior and our God.
"Why are you cast down my soul, why groan within me? Hope in God. I will praise him still, my Savior and my God." (Psalm 42)
And what about living our day wisely? We need wisdom in our words, thoughts, and in the choices we make. Why not ask for the wisdom of God?
"Lord, teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain wisdom of heart." (Psalm 90)
Before going into the day, let's pray.

FACTS ON THE DEATH OF JESUS

At the age of 33, Jesus was condemned to death penalty.

That was then the 'worst' death. Only the worst criminals could die like Jesus. And with Jesus things were worst, because not all the criminals condemned to death could receive nails on their hands and feet.

Of course, nails... Big nails! Each was 15 a 20 cm long, with a point of 6 cm. Another point was sharp.

The nails were craved into the pulses, and not into the palms, as we are used to hear. In the pulse, there's a tendon which extends till the shoulder, and when the nails were being hammered, that tendon broke, obliging Jesus to reinforce all the muscles of his back, so that he could breath as He was loosing all the air from his lungs.

In this way, He was forced to support Himself onto the nail craved in his feet, which was bigger than those craved into his pulses, for both feet were craved together. And, as his feet could not endure for long time without tearing, Jesus was forced to alternate that 'cycle' so that He could breath.

Jesus endured that reality over 3 hours.
Yes, over 3 hours! Long time, isn't it? Few minutes before He died, Jesus was not bleeding anymore.
He was simply pouring water from his cuts and holes.

When we imagine Him injured, we only picture Him with injuries, but it is not enough; His wounds were true holes, made in his body.

He had no more blood to bleed, He only poured water.

Human body is composed by near 3.5 litres of blood (for adult).

Jesus poured all 3.5 litres of his blood; He had three nails hammered into his members; a crown of thorns on his had and, beyond that, a Roman soldier who nailed a spear into his chest.

All these without mentioning the humiliation He passed after carrying his own cross for almost 2 kilometres, while the crowd spat on his face and throwed stones (the cross was almost 30 kg of weight, only for its higher part, where his hands were nailed).

Jesus had to pass all this experience, so that you can have free access to God.
So that your sins could be 'washed'. All of them, with no exception! Don't ignore this situation. HE DIED FOR YOU!. For you
